We finally decided on the new finishes ... The colors are a bit "off" on the computer...but, you'll get the idea! |

Draperies - Maharam "Milestone" #403901-306 Sky... ...pretty neutral, a real subtle crepe pattern with grey & aqua yarns |

I found this upholstery fabric to be appropriate mostly because of it's playfulness, color and the fact that it makes me smile everytime I see it. Alexander Girard designed "Quatrefoil" during his tenure as founding director of the Herman Miller textile division. He introduced modern design to millions of people in his exhuberant use of colors, patterns & textures. He defined a new kind of opulent modernism, a "look" that became synonymous with the 1960's America. Yep, about 20% of the "flowers" are silver! The rest are two shades of aqua & two shades of a grey-green on a light grey-white background... ...we did a "red-wine-stain-test" and because it's Teflon-coated it passed with flying colors! |
Upholstery -
Maharam "Textiles of the 20th Century Collection" Quatrefoil #459340-001
Silver Maharam "Stance" #461380-005 Deco for the Trim... |
Forbo Marmoleum "Real" #3146 Serene Grey... ...kinda the color of concrete or dirt! |
A bit of a departure from the originals...but what do you think?
That's it for now...out with the old-old & in with the new-old! Oh yeah, I also found these cool retro Melmac dishes on ebay...I had to have them!
