OH MY!!!
4/22/07

These pictures  definately belong in the "Things are going to get worse before they look better" category!

It has been a busy couple of weekends!

No guts, no glory!

Stripping Central

The paint is coming off pretty good - Ive tried just about everything there is out there.  So far the CitraStrip is my favorite...it smells good, works well for being "safe" and it doesn't burn your skin.

So far only a few pieces have water damage stains on them.  I have bought some birch veneer and plan on re-surfacing those small items.  Some of the wood closet panels and shelves are so old & brittle that we will be replacing them using the old ones as templates.

Everything is in the garage...including the kitchen sink!

The appliances await their testing & cleaning...

...and good ridance to the rest of the foam & flowers!

Bye-bye Birdy!

The first weekend in May...our annual May Maintenance Rally with the DenCO Unit.  Time for Birdy to make her first appearance!  So, after disembowling her...we feathered the nest and took off for our fiirst outing...

It rained, & rained, & rained...

This photo was taken during the only sunshine we had all  weekend.  There was asctually even a tornado watch in the area...about two miles west of us...we even had hail, rock salt-to-pea size, no damage, but...yikes!

Oh well, gave us a chance to check out where there are a couple of leaks...nothing major, but we're going to have to remove some small sections of the floor below the back window...and under the "used to be" shower pan.

No water, no gas, no tanks but we were all comfy!

Now that we are home...we will be starting some of the big projects...like removing some of the interior panels so we can fix the few soft spots on the floor.

More pictures ...

So, I have been a bit remiss about posting photos & updates here.  Too busy working on Birdy!
I have put up some pics on AirForums.com in a thread called
"It's a Girl!!!"
if you want to get an idea of what's been going on ~
once things slow down this fall, I will update some of the topical pages here.
